I had the distinct pleasure of working for Ed in the early seventies in the international operations at Squibb. He was a person I deeply respected and admired for his intelligence, integrity and common sense. I enjoyed being with him on some of our business trips overseas and especially enjoyed the London theatre when there. He was one of the finest persons I have known and a true gentleman in every sense of the word. Till we meet again.

I was privileged to serve under Ed in the United law department. He was an elegant gentleman, and kind to take my young son and me on a number of Lake Michigan sailing excursions. I had not heard on Jonny's passing. Be well, Ed.

I was certainly surprised to read that Ed had passed. My prayers and condolences to each of you. So many memories of your family especially riding my bike to the house near Fenger. Even going to Sunday School w/you. You have always been such a close and loving family. It had to be nice to have a "big brot her." We live in Crete, IL. now, have two boys. One in Frankfort, Il. One in N.J. 5 grandchildren.
Love to you all.Shirley Sauer Sopko 708-672-5800

My sincere condolences to the Hoenicke family. Ed was a wonderful Redfish Cove neighbor and always ready for a good party. Fondly,
Helen Kendall
