William Joseph Griffin, Jr. of Winnetka, IL entered eternal life July 7, 2013. Loving husband of Rosemary McCarron Griffin. Loving father of William Joseph Griffin, III (Laura), Shannon Mary Griffin Spencer (Patrick), and John Thaddeus Griffin (Mary). Loving grandfather of Madeline, Margaret and William Griffin; Catherine, Genevieve, Nicholas and Charlotte Spencer; and Duncan, Simon, Alessandra and Emily Griffin. Loving brother of Hollis Joseph Griffin (Ginger) and Roger Sullivan Griffin (Sherryl). Preceded in death by his mother Mary Sullivan Griffin and father William Joseph Griffin. Bill was a graduate of North Shore Country Day School, New Trier High School and Yale University. A third generation member of the Chicago Board of Trade, Bill was elected to serve on its board of directors from 1976 to 1978. Visitation 10:00am Thursday July 11 at Saints Faith, Hope and Charity, 191 Linden Ave, Winnetka, IL 60093 with Mass of Christian burial to follow at 11:00am. I will always remember and appreciate the kindness and friendliness shown by Bill and the entire Griffin family to my father and me at the Board of Trade. I am upset that I cannot attend Bill's visitation and Mass. My prayers are with you.
