George Charnota, 89, of West Dundee, formerly of Northlake, a WWII Purple Heart Recipient, beloved husband of Zora, nee Cernak; loving father of Milly (Paul) Vincelette and Michael Charnota; dear grandfather of Pete (Maggie) Witbeck and Steve (Jennifer) Vincelette; great-grandfather of Jayme, Jordan, Madison, Louie and Rita; devoted brother of Annie, Mary, Martha, late Mike, Andrew and Jim; fond uncle of many. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 29, 2008 from 3 to 9 p.m. at Cuneo-Columbian Funeral Home, 10300 W. Grand Avenue (one block East of Mannheim Road), Franklin Park, IL 60131. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Cuneo-Columbian Funeral Home. Interment Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, IL. 847-455-1200 or
