Dear Susan and family,
There are no adequate words to express how sorry we are for your loss of David - a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, friend and person. I've known David and you since Linda and I were in high school and watched as your early dating years resulted in a life together filled with love, beautiful children and grandchildren, family and friends as well as all the other blessings you shared. Michael and I will keep you in our hearts and prayers that your blessings will provide some comfort in these very sad days. All our love, Barbara (Hanauer) and Michael

Dear Sue, Scott, Michelle and Family,
Undoubtably this is the most difficult time of you lives and all I can say, from my own experience, is that remembering the memories you have created as a family and sharing them with all you hold dear, will be the medicine that will get you through these dark days. David meant a great deal to me and I will always remember his kind, warm and caring spirit, his love of life and the many, many years of fun and laughter we all shared together. We are holding all of you in our thoughts and prayers.
All Our Love and Deepest Condolences,

I woke up today and was hoping it was a horrible nightmare. My heart has been aching since I heard the news. I have nothing but wonderful memories of David. Sue, Michelle and Scott you were all a second family to me growing up. Your home was always full of LAUGHTER, joy, warmth, love and fun...and more laughter. All, which was led by David. He was hysterical and loving. From storing 100 cherry pits in his mouth and spitting them into a cup one by one to walking the "groove" around Great America to welcoming customers at "Scottys Grand Stand". (Along with other funny things I can't write on here). Its so unfair that someone with so much love for life is no longer here. He was so proud of all of you and I remember the love he had for his parents. I'm sure he is in peace with them now. He's a wonderful person and no words can express how deeply sorry I am. Hang on to all the amazing memories and he will live in your hearts forever, as he will mine.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family. We are going to miss David cheering for Jake and all the boys at the baseball games. He was a grandfather to everyone. We will always remember how his warm smile would melt our hearts. God bless his wife, children, grandchildren and friends and to anyone who was lucky to have known such a gentle, loving man.
