Thomas Kahrs Obituary
Thomas G. Kahrs, age 79, of Wood Dale. Devoted husband and best friend of Sylvia, nee Cunningham; loving father of Steve (Helen), Bill, Jim (Marci) and the late John Kahrs; treasured grandpa of Aidan, Alexander, Nikki, Mina and Noelle; beloved brother of the late Jeannette Manning and the late Geneva Kahrs; fond brother-in-law of Rich (Margie) Cunningham and the late Dorothy (late Robert) Myrman; fond uncle of many. Proud member of the IBEW and retired Northern Illinois Gas Company employee with 38 years of service. Tom was a member of the St. Simeon Church Bible Group and the Men's Prayer Group at St. Domitilla Church, where he also served as a Eucharistic Minister. Family will greet friends Friday, August 22, beginning at 9am until time of mass at 10am at St. Domitilla Church, 4940 Washington (1 block west of Wolf Road), Hillside. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association would be appreciated. Info 800-562-0082 or www.hursen.com
