Carl Schmitt Obituary

Carl R. Schmitt, Sr., 68, longtime Glenview resident, passed away September 26, 2014. Beloved husband of Carol; loving father of Carl R. Schmitt, Jr., Christopher (Jillian) Schmitt and Cathleen (Damian) Willson; proud grandfather of Kaitlynn, Campbell, Madelyn, Mason, Breanne, Ashleigh, Weston, Eileen and Oliver; dear brother of Clyde Schmitt, Holly Miles and the late Conrad Schmitt; brother in law of Larry (Pat) Schumacher. Carl was a coach for Glenview Youth Baseball for many years, a longtime Valley Lo member, and loved to golf and fish; he was the owner of Family Amusements. Visitation Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 4-8 PM at N.H. Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home, 1240 Waukegan Rd. (just south of Lake Ave. on west side), Glenview where a funeral service will also be held Thursday, October 2nd at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Glenview Youth Baseball, c/o David Waldherr, 1510 Midway Lane, Glenview, IL, 60026. Funeral info 847-998-1020.
