Donald J. Haderlein, 90, of Park Ridge, IL, formerly the Edgebrook neighborhood in Chicago. Born March 2, 1926 and entered into eternal life February 3, 2017. Husband of the late Dolores (nee Cornacchia), loving father of Gerard (Therese), Mary (Ned Reece), John, Donald (Bernadette), Barbara (Drew) McCartney and Hope (Ken) Bradley. Loving and proud Grandfather of Tom Perto, Angela (John) Pontikis, Jerry, Maggie and Joseph Haderlein, Seth (Mallory), John "Jack" , Franklin "Fritz" and Genevieve "Gigi" Reece, Eric and Nicole Haderlein, Peter and Jonathan Haderlein, Lauren, Liam and Evan McCartney, Nathaniel and Tessa Bradley. Great grandfather of Victor and Mila Reece. Son of the late John and Marie Haderlein and brother of the late Lorraine (the late George) Murphy, the late Jackie (the late Lou Corna and Reginald Stebbins), and the late Thomas (Ann) Haderlein. Dear Uncle, friend and business associate and real estate mentor to many. Owned and operated Haderlein & Co. Real Estate and ran offices in Lakeview and Norwood Park. He held leadership roles at the Chicago Board of Real Estate, Lakeview Chamber of Commerce, Wildwood Community Association, Knights of Columbus, among others. He was a member of St. Mary of the Woods and later St. Paul of the Cross. He loved to golf and was a 45 year member of Ridgemoor Country Club. Don was a good man, well mannered, generous and fair. He valued honesty, loyalty, respect, integrity, education and most of all family. He lived his life with purpose and with a deep faith as a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation Thursday February 9, 2017 from 3-9pm at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Highway, Park Ridge. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary of the Woods Church, 7033 N.
