I knew Jim through Zip Dee, I have been one of his customers for 20 years. He came to our shop whenever he was in Florida. I feel we connected, he loved to see the old motorhomes we restore I was proud to have known him

Kim,
I'm so heartbroken to hear about Jim. I often tell people of the great time I had with the two of you when I came to Chicago last August, even if I got a little green around the gills. I have so much admiration for the both of you. I'm so glad I got to know you both. Please keep in touch, if possible.
My heart goes out to you,

I am sorry to hear about Jim's passing. Jim and I grew up together in Harbert and shared many special times during the summer on the beach. Kim and Carol, please know my thoughts are with and your families. He was a good man, had stories to share, and loved the water. Sail on, Jim!
A toast! To the memory of the penultimate sailor, and good friend to all. Jim is the one who taught me why I love sailing!

Jim was a wonderful sailor and faithful member of Jackson Park Yacht Club. During the years with Sea Scouts, Jim supported our Wednesday night meals with generous purchases, and TIPS!
We will miss him.

May the God of all comfort strengthen the family during this time of deep sorrow. Those who pass on, God keeps in his memory because they are precious in his eyes. My sincerest condolences. (Psalms 116:15)

Jim was so helpful when we're Airstream newbies. We saw him at many International rallies and I remember when he showed me how I could open the awning by myself! We visited with him at the International rallies and missed him when he couldn't come. Our condolences go out to all his family. He was truly a great guy! Ken & Jill Shuck

Jim was an amazing man - ALWAYS greeted you with a warm smile - the friendliest person I've ever known - He truly cared about you as a person and let you know that. I have known him my entire life and that is the constant - a caring and warm man who gave back to everyone. His sailing adventures and support of JPYC are legendary - and his exploits even more. I will truly miss him. God bless him and Kim and the family.

Jim was a very kind and generous man. My connection was through my Airstream trailer. He helped me on so many occasions when I had a little problem that needed attention. He was always so willing to help...
God Bless his family and I hope they know how much I appreciated him as a friend and customer of ZIp Dee.
Rest in Peace
