Blake made Lisa so happy and they believed in each other’s dreams. He was a wonderful person and came to Jeanne’s funeral in September. I was so glad to see him knowing the struggle he shared.

I had studied stage directing with Blake at Columbia College. We use to talk a lot during our "coffee breaks" about life, his current fantasy novels, acting, etc. Blake would always be there for you during your most troubling times. He was one of our best actors and a great friend. My deepest sympathies to his entire family

I knew Blake at Columbia College and he directed me in a show while we were both students. I remember what love, care and respect he showed for the ensemble and for each one of us individually. Blake and I became good friends in college and what I remember most is how protective he was over his friends and how he wanted everyone to feel included. Although I lost touch with Blake after college, I was shocked and very much saddened to hear of his passing. My heartful wishes to his family.

I went to Columbia College with Blake. I just heard about your loss and I wanted to reach out to tell you how incredibly sorry I am . I am so heavy-hearted that we lost touch and I wanted you all to know of of the wonderful impact that he had on my life and our close circle of friends during college. I would not trade those memories that I hold so dear now for the world and I am so happy that I knew him and called him my friend.

Lisa, Family; words can't describe how shocked and saddened I was to hear the news.
I remember Blake as being awesome on the ice. He taught me how to skate, and brought me to the hospital when I hit the boards and suffered a major concussion.

Blake is such an important part of my youth. He fills the spaces in so many memories with laughter. We never quite knew which of us was a worse influence on the other. But in the end, it was always fun. My thoughts and love to the whole Hirsch-Kin and extended family.

Sometimes in life...
One Experience...
One Moment...
One Person...
Will change you forever.
My brother Blake was that one person.
The past 6 months with my
Hirsch-Kin family has been that experience.
Every single moment that I think about you Blake, is the moment that once again I am changed forever.
I miss my brother and will forever be grateful that he touched me and made me who I am today.
Love,
Jacqueline

I just heard the news. I hadn't talked to BJ in years. The Nippersink days, Bar Mitzvahs, Friday night sleepovers eating pizzas and watching Star Wars on bootleg VHS, the trip to Snowmass... The memories are flooding back right now. My deepest sympathies to the Cadkin/Hirsch family. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

I have not seen BJ in years, but he is a part of my fondest childhood memories and will always be with me as the very best of friends, the type one can only have as a child. My thoughts are with everyone who knew and loved him. Jim Zimring

I met Blake 20 years ago at Nippersink resort. He was the ringleader that everyone looked up to and admired. He lit up an entire room with his smile. I found out from a coworker who was going to his funeral that he had passed away.
Even though I have not spoken to him in 20 years I did not forget him. I am thrilled to hear he was still invloved in theater.
My heart goes out to those he left behind, may G-d be with you.

I was a good friend of Blake's in high school. We were very involved with theater together, and we had a lot of good times. He was a giving guy, always there with an answer to your problem or a pat on the back. Although it has been several years since we've seen each other, I was always very happy that he had stayed so involved with his passion. And I am truly saddened to hear of this news. I would like to offer my sympathies to Blake's family. I know he is missed.
