RICHARD BORCHER Obituary

RICHARD W.

"DICK" BORCHER

March 27, 1922-March 18, 2009

Passed away suddenly from heart failure in Chico, Calif. Dick was born in International Falls, Minn.; graduated from high school in North Bend, Ore., and served in the US Navy as a tail gunner in World War II, receiving several commendations. Dick graduated from the University of Oregon and was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. Dick served as an FBI Special Agent for 26 years, retiring in 1975.

He moved to a ranch in Northern California, near the Pitt River and after a few years to a walnut orchard at Los Molinos. About three years ago, he moved to a retirement community in Chico, Calif. Dick's four children, David, Andrew, Hilary, and Alison were most important to him, although he was everyone's best friend, an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Those people who were blessed to share workdays with him and or hunting ducks, pheasants, pigeons, deer and antelope, experienced his wonderful character.

Besides his children, Dick is survived by his four grandchildren; Benjamin,. Garrett, Camille, and Andrew; life partner, Luann Kamprath; and special niece, Sandy.

No memorial services will be held. Dick would wish for family and friends to toast to the life and good times he shared with all.
