JANICE RAE BROWN May 19, 2016 Janice Rae Brown passed on May 19, 2016 in Oroville, California. Janice was born November 4, 1928 to Glenn and Leona Collinson in Clear Lake, Iowa. She later married Clyde Fry, and on September 10, 1960, married E. R. Bob Brown of Yankee Hill who passed away in 2006. She had 3 children, Kenneth Fry and wife Joan of Fernley, Nevada; Judy Fry Richter of Chico; and Robert Bob Brown and wife Sylvia of Oroville. Grandchildren include Leah Fry Kittell, Andrew and Eric Fry, Philip Richter, Dustin and Cody Beers and Rachel Brown; plus 5 great-grandchildren. Jan and Bob lived many years together in Madras, Oregon where they farmed acreage and raised cattle. She adored the baby animals and often had one close by if it needed assistance eating. She painted beside Bob and left many pictures which are family keepsakes. Jan also worked for the Madras school district when she wasn't growing cantaloupes and petunias. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 27, 2016 at Scheer Funeral Home in Oroville at 11 am. Lunch will follow at The Hofbrau on Table Mt. Boulevard in Oroville. A private burial will be held later Friday.
