Bessie E. (nee Ashcraft), beloved wife of the late Rev. Buster Hammons; devoted mother of Cheryl (James A. Stewart) Foulk & the late David Lynn Hammons; loving grandmother of Aaron (Danielle) Foulk and Kyle (Jennifer) Foulk; great grandmother of Landen and Caroline Foulk; dear sister of Leona (the late Robert) Baldwin, Ernest (Adeline) Ashcraft, and the late William (Betty) Ashcraft. March 14, 2014. Age 86. Visitation will be at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pk., Springdale Monday from 6-8 PM. Funeral service will be at the funeral home Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to Hospice of Cincinnati. The Hammons were so important to my family. Buster married us and baptized our children.
Bessie was one of the most caring, empathetic, loving persons we knew. She and Buster shared many outings with my parents, Bill and Marge Park.
I hope she is now reunited with her husband and many gone but not forgotten, members of Forest Chapel.
