To The Dierking Family,
Connie was a good friend during high school, summer work and later during meetings after NBL games in NYC.
I was fortunate to be able to reinstate contact with him via E-Mail a few years ago and get updated on our lives.
Connie was a, "one of a kind" great person and I consider myself fortunate to have known him.
Please accept my sincere sympathy for your loss. Connie will be in my prayers and thoughts.

Cammy, Jane, & girls,

My brother Gus and I were reminiscing about our days living in Golf Manor back in the 1970's over Christmas. The Dierking name kept popping up in our conversation. We recalled playing “spud” in the front yard, Dan Adler, Jeff Miller, the Kuller family, we really hit the way back machine! To us little boys your dad was a giant. When he yelled everyone knew he meant business. I remember when he owned Losantiville Lanes. We were warming up for a baseball game on the field in the back. He came out and tossed ball with us. I remember him slipping in the parking lot and tearing a big hole in his lime green plaid pants. He just played it off and wished us good luck in the game. We were saddened to hear of his passing just a few days after we were talking about him. We remember him as a great father and a very friendly, caring man. We hope all the Dierking girls are doing well and remember the great times we had in our youth. Cammy, we watch you religiously on Ch. 12. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.

To the Dierking family,
Connie was a buddy of mine at Central High School, Valley Stream, NY. We were in the same gym class, went to car shows (his Dad got us passes), and worked together at Rockaway News. He was liked by everyone and I was saddened by his passing. I am sorry for your loss -- may he rest in peace.

Dierking Family,
I met Connie when he played at UC. We became friends after he married Susan Wachendorf and they lived on Elbrook Drive in Golf Manor. Connie was a special person who never met a stranger.
Connie gave all of us in Cincinnati many years of first class basketball. Connie was a "New York Guy" who never lost his accent. Connie was tailor made for Cincinnati and was a perfect fit in the fabric of our city.
Thanks Connie for the memories and good times. May Connie's memory be for a blessing.

Seeing Connie's obit in the paper this morning is a hard way for me to start the new year.

I was a huge fan of his during his UC and NBA days and a few years ago I got to meet him in Scottsdale, Arizona. Being a former UC alum it was quite an occasion for me. He was kind enough to let me interview him for a newspaper column I wrote at that time.

Now he is gone and it is a sad time. God bless his memory. My condolences to his family.
