Has it really been so long? It seems like just yesterday when you left us. I’d love to hear your take on these crazy times we live in. I’m sure your remarks would be both full of humor and energy. Joe never did anything with half measures. Watch over us dear cousin. We could use some help.

To the Brink family, you have our deepest sympathy. Sorry we could not make the service for Joe. Joe and the family will always be in our prayers. I will miss that smile and laugh at the Elder football games. I was honored to sit next to Joe at the Elder football games and looked forward to Friday nights at "The Pit". He would always tell his stories of his days at Elder, either in the classroom, football field, or baseball diamond and they never got old. Joe also would talk about the trips to the Elder football State Championship games in Canton. I always told Joe,at the football games, that with all his money he should help pay for a video scoreboard for "The Pit". He got a chuckle out of that.
Joe, you are going to be greatly missed.

I just found out about Joe. To Joe's family - I am so sorry to hear this. Your dad trained me at the gym and I also go to the Vineyard. Joe was an amazing spirit - always smiling, always encouraging, funny as heck and I loved him. I will miss him and his smile and his kind heart. He's dancing with Jesus now with that big ole smile on his face.

Cousins are very special people in our lives. Joe has been a part of mine for as long as I can remember. He was an inspiration to me and to many others during his time among us. We should all hope to leave the world and those around us just a little better as he did. Joe found a way to make a difference no matter what. When one door closed in his life he just found a way to pry open a window somewhere else and kept on. You will be missed and you will be remembered Joe. Via con Dios.

Joe has been my friend, as well as a patient for decades. I will always remember his great smile, his physical strength, his generosity, and most of all his kindness to all of us who had the pleasure of knowing him. God bless "my friend of the heart", Joe Brink. My deepest condolences to all of his family members.

Jimmy, Kelly & Jill,
Growing up, your dad was as big as life itself to me. I can remember seeing him squatted behind the plate and rifle a throw to second base and I remember a singing sailor in South Pacific just to name a few. I will soon not forget his big smile and a laugh that was most contagious. I will also remember a man who loved his children deeply and cared for others. I will indeed miss his firm handshake and his insistence in addressing me by both my first and second name. I pray that our Lord will hold you near and dear in the days ahead.

I extend my condolences to Joe's family. Joe made a big impression on me back in Summer of 1973 when I was a skinny little runt hoping to learn more about lifting weights. So a friend talked me into joining "Joe's Gym" where I worked out for two years with great memories of that gym and the people. And to this day, I still have my Joe's Gym membership card with Joe's signature on it, as a treasured souvineer in my scrapbook from 38 years ago. Joe's passing saddens many people who benefited from meeting him at one time or another over the years.

I met Joe in 1973 when he was giving a motivational speach to my Elder High School Health Class. He is one of the most upbeat and positive individuals I have ever met. My condolences to all of his family and friends. Joe; I will miss you and you will be missed by all at the S.W.O.C.C. Rest In Peace my friend.

Jimmy, we are so sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad. We had the chance to meet him at your 40th birthday party. He could have not been a nicer person. We did not know many people there and he made us feel very welcome.

My condolences to your family on the loss of Joe. Because of Joe's dedication to the neighborhood youth back in the day, he taught my son about working out and pushing yourself to the limit. I always appreciated Joe taking the time he spent with Jamie. He truly was one of the good guys.

Joe made the most of the hand he was dealt and kept moving forward with a positive attitude. Seeing Joe in a parade around the Vineyard congregation, throwing up his hands with a big smile on his face is a one example of Joe’s love of life!
