I never met him. I'm interested in his life and that of his daughters as the son and granddaughter of the great Rachel Wischnitzer. We study her work and life across Europe and the US and are grateful for every detail of her and her family life. Thank you for emailing us and contacting us. Best! Jan

I feel for you, Betsy. I was suddenly devastated when I first heard that he...., passed away.
On the other hand, I am happy for you, since you were at home for the last moment of your Dad life. I remember one day, he was not feeling good. I told him that you are coming home. He suddenly got up, brush his teeth, changed clothes, and ate complete meal. Then we listen music of Frank Sinatra," Fly me to the moon"

Betsy- Sorry for your loss. He was an interesting man and lived a full life. I am glad I was able to meet him and hear his stories on the few occasions I met him.

Mr. Winchester will always be remember as a dear friend, who once shared life before his time. He said one time, "I need to eat more food to get better and stay alive for Betsy". He love very much his daughter, one reason he tried the best he can to lived longer, _ a wonderful life, and a great 91 years.
