Billy Cogburn Obituary
Cogburn
Arden - Billy Ray Cogburn, 78, of Arden, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2013.
Mr. Cogburn was born August 2, 1935 in Buncombe County to the late Ellis and Beulah Cogburn.
Billy was an avid antique car collector and he had a passion for animals. He retired as Maintenance Supervisor at Ball Corporation with over 30 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Colin Lane Cogburn; and two daughters, Angela Ray Cogburn and Linda Sue Cogburn.
Billy is survived by the mother of his children, Mary Lane Watts; son, Randy Cogburn (Nancy) of Candler; brother, Herschel Cogburn of Weaverville; granddaughters, Kristi Cogburn, Whitney C. Harwood (Aaron), and Shelby Cogburn; great grandchildren, Landon and Annabelle.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, November 3, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Piney Mountain Methodist Church Cemetery.
Arrangements are in the care of Harwood Home for Funerals, 828-669-2977.
