Alisa Sloop Obituary
Asheville - Alisa Black Sloop, 53, of Asheville passed away at Mission Hospital March 11, 2016.
Alisa was born March 7, 1963 to the late William "Buddy" Black and Helen Suddreth Black.
She was a former employee of Wick and Greene and a Property Manager. Alisa was a member of Pole Creek Baptist Church. She was a friend and "Momma Sloop" to many.
Surviving Alisa is her loving husband of 31 years, Larry Sloop; daughter, Rachel Gregory and husband, Chris of Asheville; son, Joshua Sloop and girlfriend, Coley Bochman of Asheville; "daughter by love", Amanda Conard and husband, Adam of Candler, NC; brother, Kim Black and wife, Susie of Candler, NC; grandchildren, Finleigh Laine Gregory, Asher and Abel Conard; several nieces and nephews, 2 great nieces and many other loving family members.
A visitation will be held at 4:00PM on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Pole Creek Baptist Church with memorial service to immediately follow. Rev. Dennis Thurman and Adam Black officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to PMP Research Foundation at www.pmpcure.org

I was so sorry to hear of Alisa's passing. I have known her since she was about 3 years old, we were neighbors. She was such a beautiful little girl. Even though we lost touch with the family over the years, I still think about the Worley Place family I grew up with and she was a special part of that. My prayers and condolences to your family.

I was so fortunate to have Alisa as my Son, Larry Sloop's wife and as the Mother of my wonderful Grandchildren, Rachel Gregory and Josh Sloop. I was proud of Alisa for being "Mom" to Amanda Conrad.
She brought so much beauty and joy to our Sloop family. I am so, so happy my first great grandchild, Finleigh, and her Daddy, Chris, were with you through your fight.
