Blanche Wamsley Obituary
Asheville - Blanche Jarvis Wamsley passed into eternal life at age 94 after a short period of declining health. She was born in the Statesville-Wilkesboro, NC area in the 1920's at the farm of her parents, Lee Jarvis and Ella Kemp Jarvis. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, John Philip Wamsley, and by all six of her brothers and sisters: Belma, Marie, Doris, Gurney, Paul and L.P.
She moved to Charlotte and then Asheville where she worked for Biltmore Dairy Farms. In 1960, she married John P. Wamsley of Asheville and they had a happy life together until his death in 2012. She worked at Vanderbilt Shirt Factory for most of her life until she retired.
She is survived by numerous nephews and nieces in the Statesville-Wilkesboro area as well as in Asheville and elsewhere. Her sweet and generous nature will always be remembered by those who loved her.
A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery at 11:30 AM on Saturday, August 27 for family and friends. Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn is assisting the family, visit www.moorefh.net to sign the online guest book.

My condolences to her family. Blanche and John were friends of my parents for 40 years. John worked with my father and he and Blanche would come over and visit with us on Saturdays throughout my childhood. May she rest peacefully in Heaven with John. Sincerely-Georgia Sherlin Minnick
