Bruno Najaka Obituary

Bruno Bruce Najaka III, 63, of Nanticoke, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

He was born Feb. 9, 1954, in Nanticoke, a son of Bruno B. Najaka II, Dushore, and the late Mary Louise Rule Najaka.

He is survived by his wife, the former Sandra Ann Chest, Nanticoke; son, Bruno Brian Najaka IV and his fiancée, Jessica Hamilton, both of Lititz; daughter, Nicole Rose Najaka and her fiancé, Doug Wagner, both of Shickshinny; sisters, Sharon Sharkey and husband, Patrick, Newport Twp.; and Joann Day and husband, Bob, Dushore; nieces and nephews, Holly, Bruno and Mikey.

Bruce was a graduate of Sullivan County High School, Class of 1972, and Pennsylvania State University, Class of 1977, with a degree in business and economics.

He was employed as an insurance agent and financial advisor by Najaka Financial and also Prudential, Maseychik Insurance Co., NAIFA, Polish Falcons of America and Penn Mutual.

His professional designations are LUTCF, BSIRE, CLTC, and regional vice president for the Northeast Chapter of Pennsylvania Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He accepted many awards and recognitions for his work in the insurance industry.

He was an active member of the Penn State Alumni Association, and a devoted and life member of Connell's Pond Camp and White Ash Land Association.

Bruce was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing, golfing and traveling and visiting his children.

He enjoyed hanging out with Dave, AW and Bonnie. He was a friend of Bill W. and Dr. Bob.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to the Clearbrook Scholarship Fund, 1100 E. Northampton St., Laurel Run, PA 18706.

Bruce adored his children, Brian and Nicole. ... and we'll see you on the Dark Side of Moon!

Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday from Clarke Piatt Funeral Home Inc., 6 Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek, followed by procession to Christ United Methodist Church, 175 S. Main Road, Mountain Top, for services at 11 a.m. with the Rev. J.P. Bohanan, pastor, officiating.

A viewing will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

You will never know the people Bruce has touched and helped thru his journeys here. He was a such a good friend of Bill and Bob's, and carried the message every where he went, he will be greatly miss. I will keep you all in my thoughts and Prayers.
