Sandra Vandermark Obituary

Sandra E. (Sandy) Vandermark, 69, of Newfoundland died Thursday, May 10, 2012, in Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, after a brief illness. She was the widow of Lawrence (Larry) Vandermark Sr., who died in 2001.

Born in Bryn Mawr, she had resided in Newfoundland for the past 41 years and prior to that in Matamoras.

Sandy was a rural motor carrier for the Pocono Record newspaper for 11 years and was a former beautician.

She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Barrett, Newfoundland; Catherine Winkler, Greentown; two sons, Brian Vandermark, West Pittston; Lawrence Vandermark Jr., Mount Cobb; grandchildren, Brielle Barrett; Tyler, Joshua, Kelley and Christina Vandermark; Tanya, Heather, Bradley and Alexis Winkler; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Gwen Kinsey, Madisonville; nieces and nephews.

Services and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Memorial gifts may be made to the family in care of Arthur J. Frey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 129, South Sterling, PA 18640.
