Marie Dowse Obituary

Marie Dowse, 78, of Harding passed away Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015 at home surrounded by her family.

Born in Pittston on Aug. 22, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Santo and Petrina Butera Giambra.

She was a graduate of Pittston High School. She retired from Sather's Candy Company. Marie was active with the Falls Senior Center; a member of the Red Hat Society and was devoted time to community service. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Dowse, in 1994.

Surviving are her son, James Dowse Jr., Harding; daughters, Deborah and her husband, Neil Williams, Harding; and Diana, Houston Texas; grandchildren, Richard Overman, Harding; Ryan Overman, Wyoming; Tanya Eble and Michael Tukeva; great-grandchildren, Brooke Overman; Elena and Annalise Eble; and Emeson Tukeva.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
