Charles Shaw Obituary

Charles (Chuck) Paul Shaw (San Dimas, California) 62 passed away and returned to his heavenly Father on March 30, 2011. He was born May 30, 1948, in Berryton, Kansas, to Charlie and Pauline (Martin) Shaw. He graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 1966. Chuck grew up on the family farm near Topeka, KS where he learned hard work will get you any where you want to go. He married his first wife and was blessed with his two sons. He was a loving and caring father and always made sure they never needed for anything. His greatest achievement was he opened his own business in the machinery repair business which he enjoyed for over 40 years. His business allowed him to travel throughout the United States. Through his travels he has met many people and has made several lasting friendships. When Chuck wasn't working you could find this Proud American doing the next thing he loved the most, cooking, listen to country music, sipping a glass of crown royal and telling a story to his family and friends. Chuck is survived by his wife Rebecca (Smuts), sons, Anthony (Shelly) Shaw, (Topeka) and Russell (Dianne) Shaw, (West Jordan, UT), stepson, Michael (Kate) Edwards, (Salt Lake City, UT), mother, Pauline Shaw and sister Margaret Ross (Randy Ammermann) and nephew Daniel (Amber) Ross, (Minnesota). He had 2 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Charlie. Memorial services will be at the United Methodist Church, Eskridge, Kansas at 11am on May 21. I could write a book on our ventures with Chuck. Life goes on and it will take time for all to get back to their routine. He will be greatly missed, but I will have all the memories that Chuck and I have been through. Our love and prayers are with family and friends.

I have so many great memories with Chuck but the one that stands out the most and will forever remind me of him will be the song "Fire on the Mountain" You are missed Chuck.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Chuck for peace and strength.
