I was a student at the Junction City Junior from 1975-1978. I also went to school with his neice Peggy. Mr. Shandy was a nice man and a fair principal. I was deeply sorry when I heard of his passing.

I first met Ken Shandy when I became an assistant principal at JC Jr. High School in 1969. I worked with Ken for 4 years and then went out to Fort Riley Jr. High School as principal for 17 years. It was a privilege to know and work with Ken, both as a colleague and a good friend. He was a fine school administrator and a valued mentor. USD #475 owes him a debt of gratitude for the years he spent in the various administrative capacities.

May it comfort you to know that others are thinking of you at this time.
My sister Betty Gene White Shandy was the wife of Ron Shandy, so I knew Ken and many of the Shandy family members.
You are all in out thoughts and prayers,
