Ralph Coffin Obituary

Ralph E. Coffin, 77, was born Sept. 8, 1931, in Clear Lake and passed away Monday (June 1, 2009) in his home at 9393 Collin County Road 589, Nevada, Texas. On Nov. 12, 1955, he married June Bryson in Mason City. Ralph served in the USAF from 1951 to 1971, including two tours in Vietnam. He retired with honors at Forbes Air Force base in Topeka, Kan. The family resided in Topeka for 15 years. They later relocated to Texas where they have lived for the past 28 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, June (Bryson) Coffin, of Nevada, Texas; daughter, Cheryl (Stuart) Rich, of Stockbridge, Ga.; three sons, Hugo Coffin of Nevada, Texas, Mickel (Tish) Coffin of Topeka Kansas, and Todd (Kelly) Coffin of Grand Junction, Colo.; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; brothers, George (Esther) Coffin of Westside, Iowa and Cliff (Ruth) Coffin, of Eyota, Minn.; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in law, Jeannie Coffin of Minnesota and Jane (Bryson) Eksman of Mason City. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, William and Luella (Coe) Coffin; and brother, Bill Coffin. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.
