I'm very shocked and saddened to hear this tragic news. I was once very close with Chris, back at Cheyenne Mounatin Zoo. We have lost touch over the years but I would often think about him and what he was up to. I'm so sorry for you loss and my thoughts and heart are with you at this time.

I wish to extend my sincerest condolences to one and all, especially Joyce Rakestraw. It is always difficult to let go of our loved ones, but I will rejoice with you that he is resting in the arms of Jesus now. Chris will never be gone, truly gone, as long as you hold him in your heart and speak to others of his kindess and love for all he knew while he was with us. God bless you, one and all, and you shall remain in my prayers during this challenging time.
