Lora Guffey

Lora J. Guffey Lora J. Guffey, age 66, of Topeka, passed away at her home April 3, 2017. She was born September 26, 1950 in Clay Center the daughter of Lawrence and Wilda Blanken Helms. Lora graduated from Linn High School in 1968 and then Clarks School of Business in Topeka. She married Larry Bainbridge, they later divorced. She married Dennis Guffey, he preceded her in death. Lora had recently retired from Custom Cabinets and Racks in Topeka. Lora was an active member of the Calvary Lutheran Church. She is survived by a son, Jason (Jeni) Bainbridge of Topeka; two brothers, Robert Helms of Linn and Rodney Helms of Washington, KS; six sisters, Linda Beikmann of Washington, Lorene Reith of Linn, Leanne Weems of Topeka, Marlene Shellenberger of Topeka, Mary Helms of Linn and Leila Schuh of Topeka and three grandchildren that she loved very much and spent time with, Joshua, Joel and Janae Bainbridge. Funeral services will be Friday, April 7, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Topeka. She will lie in state from 4:00 7:00 p.m. Thursday with visitation from 5:00 7:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Prairie Home Cemetery.
