Margie Stringer Malpass went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Baptist Hospital. Funeral Services were at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. with visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. .

Mrs. Malpass was a born in Jasper County Mississippi on July 30, 1924. She was the daughter of Z. M. and Zula Stringer. She married Ed Malpass on November 27, 1943. For many years, they were active members of the Adult Coed Sunday School Class of Broadmoor Baptist Church. At the time of her death, she was a faithful member of Pinelake Church, Clinton. She was a retired caterer and property manager.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, V. E. "Ed" Malpass; sisters, Tressie Parker, Trudy Grantham, and Mary Lou Knight. She is survived by son, Mel (Sharron) Malpass of Clinton. Grandchildren: Cavette (Cliff) Hellums of Clinton; Stacy (Brian)Estes of Madison; Scott (Cissi) Malpass of Clinton; Brooke (Chris) Sample of Madison and Ben (Tiffany) Malpass of Brandon. Great Grandchildren: Kristen and Anna Hester, Sara Beth Hellums, Blake, Dylan and Caleb Estes, Brantley and Bryson Malpass and Sydney Sample.

I can remember the family from the First Christian Church in Greenwood. They even had the youth of the church over to their house a few times...Heaven has added yet another angel.

Margie will be missed by all who came she came into contact with throughout her precious, giving life. She was a giver of love, and helpfulness to others. We all will miss her and the wonderful memories we have and the touch of her presences. May God console you, Mel, Sharon, and your family and give you peace as today and as life goes on and we all meet her and our loved ones in the presence of God almighty and His Son Jesus Christ.
