Judith F. BERGMANN

BERGMANN JUDITH F. BERGMANN, age 90, passed away on October 5, 2015, in Topeka, Kansas. She was born on February 2, 1925, in Philadelphia, PA, to Rabbi Samuel andBessie Stashower Fredman. She worked as a social worker in many hospitals and agencies in the Cleveland area throughout her career, retiring in 1990. Judith was married to Dr. Leopold Bergmann in 1950, and they divorced in 1971. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, David Fredman, and her oldest daughter, Ann Bergmann Manson. She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Bergmann-Harms (Robert Harms) of Topeka, KS, Constance Bergmann (Terry Smith) of Skokie, IL, and Margaret Bergmann-Ness (Alan Ness) of Seattle, WA, and by her eight grandchildren. She will be greatly missed as well by her many beloved cousins and dear friends. Services will be held at BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1985 S. TAYLOR RD., CLEVELAND HTS. on Sunday, October 11 at 2 PM. Interment Bet Olam Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence of Sara Stashower, Mornington Lane Condominiums, 2766 Edgehill Entrance (parking on either side of East Overlook), Stashower/Heller #11, SUNDAY FOLLOWING BURIAL UNTIL 8 PM. The family will then receive friends ON MONDAY FROM 6 TO 9 PM at the Fairfield Inn, 3750 Orange Pl. Beachwood. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Park Synagogue, the Alzheimer's Association or the charity of one's choice.
