Jack W. Griffin, 73
CLINTON — Mr. Jack Wayne Griffin, 73, of 2535 Roseboro Hwy., died Friday, Jan. 10, 2014 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill with his family by his side.
The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Royal Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Mrs. Cheryle Griffin officiating. A private graveside service will be held Thursday morning at 11 a.m. in the Clinton Cemetery.
Born in 1940 in Durham County, Mr. Griffin was the son of the late James Bagwell and Adrian Isoline Herring Griffin. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a retired businessman.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou B. Griffin; three daughters, Cheryle Griffin (Johnny Newton) of Roseboro, Melanie Young of Teachey and Penny Griffin-Cashwell of Clinton; and three grandchildren, Alexander Griffin, Aaron Young and Amber Young.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James "Jim" Griffin.
The family will receive friends Wednesday night following the service at the funeral home.
