Maggie Baker Obituary

Mrs. Maggie Lee Mazone Baker, 98, of Midway died Friday, Feb. 19, 2010 at her residence after a long illness.
She was a lifelong residence of Liberty County, born into the family of Major and Nancy Mazone.
Survivors are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Joseph and Herman (Sarah) Baker; Four daughters and four sons-in-laws, Rebecca (Johnathan) Frazier, Margarett Baker, Barbara (Robert) Young, all of Midway, Laucenia (Stacy) Frasier of Hinesville, and Nathaniel Dix Sr. of Dorchester, Mass.; one sister and brother-in-law, Addie (George) Patterson of Norfolk, Va.; four granddaughters, Stephanie (Darrell) Armstead, Chante Baker, Astacia Frasier, all of Atlanta, and Tiffany Baker of Brunswick; one grandson, Nathaniel Dix Jr. of Dorchester, Mass.; one great-grandson, Avery Armstead of Atlanta; Special grand-nephew and niece, Joseph Clark and Mary Wallace of Richmond Hill; adopted daughters, Laura Bell Carswell and Ruby Ware both of Midway.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Thursday p.m. at Dorchester Funeral Home in Midway. Her funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Beach Hill Baptist Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Dorchester Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
