Edward Boyd Obituary

Edward C. Boyd Jr., 87, died Thursday, July 3, at University Hospital in Jacksonville.
He was a native of Long County and served in the military. He was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, which he joined at an early age.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Boyd of Jacksonville; two sons, the Rev. Dick Larry Boyd of Hinesville and Michael Boyd of Jacksonville; seven daughters, Alta F. Harden of Ludowici, Mamie Baker of Hinesville, Gloria James of Killeen, Texas, Judy Boyd, Gladys Boyd, Vera Mae Boyd and Kathy Jean Boyd, all of Jacksonville; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home in Hinesville.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Long County. Burial will be in Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Miller Funeral Home of Hinesville is in charge of the arrangements.
