Mattie Speight Obituary
She was a Bulloch County native, but resided in Hinesville for many years. She retired as a nurse from Georgia Retardation Center of Atlanta. She was a member of the Old Friendship Baptist Church of Stilson.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Mrs. Betty Jones of Hinesville, Mrs. Dianne (Clinton) Page of Brooklet and Ms. Darlene Speight of Stone Mountain; her loving sons, Mr. Harold Speight, Mr. Calvin (Elinda) Speight, Mr. Albert Speight and Mr. David Speight, all of Hinesville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Family and friends visitations will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home in Statesboro.
The home going celebration for Mrs. Mattie Speight will be at noon Tuesday Nov. 22, at the First Calvary Baptist Church, 124 Rebecca Street, Hinesville, with the Rev. Dr. Sinclair Thorne, officiating/pastor. Interment will be held in Cones Cemetery in Stilson.
Mrs. Mattie Speight will lie-in-state from 11 a.m. Tuesday until funeral hour. There will be no viewing after eulogy.
