Mary Yokooji Obituary

Mary Yokooji, 84, of Firestone, passed away Nov. 15, at Longmont United Hospital. She was born April 14, 1931, in Fresno, Calif., to Inayoshi and Shigeno (Kido) Matsumoto.
Mary married Seizo Yokooji Nov. 29, 1952, at Fort Lupton Methodist Church. Mary was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed all aspects of homemaking, gardening, traveling, watching sports - especially the Rockies and Broncos - and most of all, spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by a son, Rodney (Sandi) Yokooji, of Denver; daughters, Claudia Yokooji, of Costa Mesa, Calif., and Imogene Yokooji (Keith Scott), of Firestone; grandsons, Richard (Avril) Griffiths and Zachary (Krissy) Griffiths; four great-grandchildren; by brother, Ben (Diana) Matsumoto; sisters, Peggy Osuga and Shari (David) Revier; and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brothers, Jesse, Henry, Tommy and Bob Matsumoto, and her sister, Ayako Matsumoto.
Mary's memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Dec. 23, at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry St., in Longmont, followed by a private interment.
