John, I once told you. when you graduated from high school, you had the qualities of a fine man in the making. You never did do anything by halves. You grabbed life with both hands and shook out every bit of life it had. You became the finest brother, friend, and last but never least, the finest husband and father. Your life never would have been long enough to suit me, but, short though it was, you gave everything you had to all of those whom you loved. I hope I told you often enough that I thought you were every bit the man I knew you would be. As I loved you in life, I will in memory, always love you deeply. Your loving sister, Jeanette
Cindy, on your wedding day, I thanked John for finding such a wonderful sister-in-law. Not once have you fallen short in my estimation. John didn't just love you, he bragged on any and all of your accomplishments. Many times we sat and talked, a rare and treasured moment, and he would tell me all about the three of you. The love and pride in his voice, as he spoke of you Cindy, or Melissa, or Lauren, will ring in my memory whenever I think of your family. If this has you in tears, it's okay I am in tears writing it. John was such a special husband, father, brother to all of us that he is deserving of many tears. If we have learned anything from him, it should be to love life and each other to the fullest . What better way to remember him. I love you Cindy, Melissa, and Lauren. LOVE, Jeanette

As the close, childhood friend of Rosalie, I have known the Baneck family for over 40 years. John lived life on his terms and always seemed to embrace what came his way, good or bad. He had style and a flare for living life to its fullest. He will be missed. My deepest condolences to all of John's family.
