As a recent convert to Catholicism I attended my first TLM today. While I've told my wife many times about Brother Denis and his ruler (and his jokes), she heard his lessons brought back to my lips 35 years from the past at Mass today.
God Bless you Brother Denis, may you be participating in the Beatific Vision now.

I remember learning a lot but also laughing a lot back in Brother Denis' Latin class. Great teacher, you will be missed!

Upon hearing of your death, I felt a chill that I cannot explain. My wonderful childhood was complete because of my parents and the education I received from you and CBHS. You will never be forgotten Brother Denis.

The core fiber of so many men's lives were hewn through the dedication of such men. God bless you Brother Denis and tell Brother Adrian "Hello".

I'll always believe that I received a better education in high school (CBHS, Memphis) than I did in college and grad school. Bro. Denis was one of the big reasons why I say that. So long, Brother. Godspeed. Hulla ballu kaneck, kaneck and Roll tide!
