Mia Marinelle Vinson Jones, 46, passed November 16, 2016. Visitation, Monday, November 21, from 10-11 a.m. followed by funeral at 11 a.m. at Cathedral of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1659 Central Ave. She leaves daughters Jessya Edith O'Neill Jones, Gabrielle Holly Ann Jones; son, Ellis Tyrone Jones; father, Claude L. Vinson, Sr., sister, Veronica Ann Vinson, brothers, Claude L. Vinson, Jr., Christopher Michael Vinson, Mark Merrill Vinson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

I love you so much, mom. I think about you everyday and I hate that the last words to each other was, "I'll talk to you later." Thank you for believing in me to become an author and encourage me to write more. Thank you for everything that you have done. I hope I can be half of the mother you were for me to my kids. I love you and you have no idea how I miss you.

I am both saddened and grieving over your loss of your sister. Words alone cannot express what a tragedy this has been and I sincerely hope she has found peace in heaven. I feel terrible over not being there for you at the visitation and funeral and nothing I could offer would make it sound other than an excuse. Forgive me.

I don't know the family or Mia but my heart is deeply saddened by this tragedy.! I am praying for the family. I know how you feel, I lost a 15 yr old grandson on Christmas night 2015. You have my sympathy n prayers for the family. RIHP MiA!
