Philip Kenney Obituary
Philip was predeceased by his parents, Francis S. and Florence B. Kenney; brother, Edward A. Kenney and wife, Vivian; sister, Barbara M. Young and husband, Barry; brother-in-laws, Richard S. Young Sr. and John J. Connor; daughter, Susan M. Kenney and grandson, David A. Kenney Jr.
Members of his family include his wife of 47 years, Mary Ellen (Carlson) Kenney. Philip was a loving father to his children, Gary P. Kenney and wife, Jill; Leigh Ann Housum and husband, Steven; David A. Kenney and friend, Ginny Martin; Michael W. Fisher and wife, Sally; Karen M. Bailey and husband, Dix; brother, Harold F. Kenney and his wife, Henrietta; sisters, Carol A. Young and Sarah R. Connor and friend, Larry Mickelboro. He will also be greatly missed by his 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Friday, July 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Home 209 N. Main St. Concord.
A graveside service will take place on Saturday, July 2, at 11 a.m. at Pine Grove Cemetery on Corn Hill Road in Boscawen.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Boscawen Fire Department Ladies' Auxiliary c/o 200 Water Street Boscawen, NH 03303, or to a charity of one's choice.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Bennett Funeral Home of Concord. Messages of condolence may be offered at www.bennettfuneral.com.

I first met Phil when I worked with Mary Ellen at Blue Cross Blue Shield. Later on he became our mechanic for many many years. We enjoyed talking with him about his trips and fishing while he worked on our cars. My prayers go out to Mary Ellen and all of her family.

Phil Kenney was like a, "Household name," in mine, and I am sure many people feel the same way. Phil will be missed by many. Phil came to my rescue many a time. One day he was in his truck to leave for the day, ready to pull out, but instead he put it in park as he saw me stopped just making it, there in his review mirror. He got out to see what was wrong. It ended up being a simple quick fix, but most would pretend they didn't see someone in an instances like that. Not Phil! I am so very Sad to hear the news of Phil passing. I thought the world of him. Loved seeing him & Mary Ellen at Dunkins. Phil was always there with a hello and in years passed many time did a fast fix on my old un-taken care of cars at NO charge. I will miss him a great deal. Until we meet again Phil,RIP
