Eva Solak Obituary

Eva Estelle Solak Sept. 18, 1932~May 7, 2009 Resident of Antioch Eva was born in San Francisco, CA the daughter of Emil & Charlotte Garloff. She later moved to Pittsburg, CA where she attended school and met her late husband Robert Solak, Sr. They settled in Antioch, CA where they raised their three sons. Eva enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, crocheting af-ghans, and reading novels. Later in life she enjoyed vacationing with her sister and sons, and saw many sites around the world, but her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren play baseball & softball. Eva was a beloved wife, mother, & grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Solak Sr. and is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Jr. & Roxanne Solak, Mike & Roberta Solak and Anthony & Rhonda Solak; five grandchildren Anthony Jr., Michael, Zachary, Richard & Alexandra; and one great-grandaughter Aubrey Solak. Eva touched the hearts of many people during her life and her spirit will continue to live in her family! A Mass and Rosary will be held on Wednesday, May 13th 2009 at 10am at Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Antioch. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in Antioch.

My sincere condolences to your family. I only knew your mother for a short time, but during that time I saw the love and care each family member had for Eva which demonstrates what a wonderful and loving woman Eva was. My prayers are with you during the days ahead as you adjust to life without your mother.
