Arina and I said a rosary for your soul on Friday, Mom and today - the day the Church celebrates Epiphany Day, I offered up my communion for the eternal rest of your soul. You are missed every day.

On this day, January 12th, one year ago today - our family lay your mortal remains to their eternal and permament rest at Queen of Heaven cemetary. We all took comfort then, take comfort today and will always take comfort in the fact that although your mortal remains may be buried your soul is with God, at peace with Him and your family for all eternity. We all thank God for the time He gave us with you and weep only that the precious time could not have been longer.
Personally - Mom - you gave me nearly five decades of beautiful and warm memories going back to when I was a mere toddler to my first day at school, first communion, confirmation, trip to Disneyland, graduation. enlistment in the military and all of the other milestones in life. I am so grateful you were there to pin on my new "Lieutenant" bars on my shoulder after I earned my commission and that I was able to dance with you at my wedding. I know that you will be smiling from heaven if my wife and I are blessed with children and your example, love, patience, kindness and faith have been my greatest inspiration ever. It has been a year and I miss you so much, Mom!
Your oldest and loving son - forever: David

COME WITH ME
The Lord saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So He put his arms aroud you
And whispered, "Come with me."
With tearful eyes, we watched you suffer
And saw you fade away,
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
A beautiful smile at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove
He only takes the best.
It's lonesome here without you
We miss you so each day,
Our lives aren't the same
Since you went away.
When days are sad and lonely,
And everything goes wrong,
We seem to hear you whisper,
"Cheer up and carry on."
Each time we see your picture,
You seem to smile and say,
"Don't cry, I'm in God's keeping,
We'll meet again someday."
