Mom...Almost 2 weeks since uve been gone and I sit here and look at everything around my house and sooooo many memories that r just that...memoriez and it hurts sumthin so deep to not be able to hold u, talk to u, see u just be able to know I will see u soon...I feel so lost n empty without u! But I know ur in a better place now....just wish u didnt have to leave us so soon! I love and Miss u so much of each and everyday! Love alwayz ur Daughter Melinda!

I am so sorry for your huge loss. Valerie and I met right out of high school, camping in Washington, Ca. We became friends, and shared so many fun times. I can't hear Rod Stewart sing Maggie Mae without thinking of Val. I am so sorry to hear of he r leaving you all so young, and pray for you all to have strength and know the full value of having had such a wonderful person create such a loving family. April, sweetie, I remember what a fun, funny, smart & sweet kid you were. Would love to see you again!

Most most vivid and oldest memory of Valerie was when she married my brother in 1973. I was 12 was able to grow up with having her as a sister-in-law. Valerie was so loving and caring she quickly became a huge part of our family. She blessed our family with the 1st Grandchild. Valerie shared(from what I remember)every birthday and holiday with our family the last 38yrs. I have so many fond and loving memories,just a few favorites: Flags,Custom Made Birthday Cards, Sage Dressing(my Dad's fave),Finger Sandwiches, and calling Fer a "DORK"...lol I will cherish the final days being able to be by her side & thank her for being such a wonderful Wife,Mother,Grandma,Daughter, & Sister and that I loved her so very much. Valerie the STRONG and LOVING woman that she was still found the strength to acknowledge me. Love you forever, kiss our Chapa for me...love you always BEBE

Well i met Valerie for the first time five years ago when she came in Canada with Melinda and Nunu. And i completly love this women. And i found a true friend. We use the email each other every week, send christmass card and she always know how to sheer me up since my mom and dad past away. I will truly miss her, she my forever Califriend in my heart. Valerie became my sister 38 years ago when she married my brother Fernando. She was a wonderful addition to our family.
we all loved her, we will all miss her, she was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and Grandmother. she is now pain free, and soaring up high with the eagles.....I will miss you Val

Valerie was a dear and close friend of mine. We had lots of fun laughing at life.When she became a grandmother she had to of been the happiest one alive. I could never forget her laugh and her witty personality. I will miss her.

I knew Valeri from working at West Contra Costa Unified School. I remember she was a very nice person always with a smile. I would sometime stop by her office to chat and I always left with a smile. I am sadden to her of her death.
