Randy grew up down the street from me. We attended school together 4th Grade to High School graduation. He had a positive impact on me. His early passing is truly a loss.

I listened to KFAX and the voice of Randy for many years. When I heard how ill he was I began praying for him. He was one of the few people outside my immediate family and friends that I prayed for. I missed hearing him on the radio. God needed him more at home. We will all get to see him and thank him for his service one day. My heart goes out to the family and I just wanted to say "thank you Randy for serving the Lord." Regina, Vallejo, Ca.

Every time I listened to KFAX and heard Randy's voice and matter of fact description of his suffering he brought me hope and affirmed my belief in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. What a testimony to the goodness of God. He continued to spread joy and had joy in his voice even in the midst of pain. Each time I listened to him I'd say to myself, "I'm going to call him". Sadly, I never did. God bless you family.

Dear Family of Randy,
The previous writer Cherrie Calvin took the words right out of my mouth. Randy’s love for God could not be hidden. It was contagious as it was genuinely shared over the airwaves. I picture him running into the arms of his Redeemer with great joy and peace when he left this earth. Randy didn’t know me but he blessed me on my drive every weekday morning for many years (until my radio broke this past spring). I will continue to pray for his family and friends as they deal with their loss. Although it is sad for those left behind we can be thankful that he is no longer suffering and with the God he loves. I believe he is petitioning for his family in the presents of Heaven. He knows they are in the best hands when in God’s hands.
With Sympathy & Prayers,
Ann

I used to listen to your husband's voice and I was always amazed at the grace he exibited and awed by his love of the Lord and his passion for life. I thank God for letting us listen to his testimony and I thank you his wife for sharing him with us.

Dear Debbie, Juanita and family:
Randy has been in my thoughts and prayers for some time now. What a glorious voice and spirit he had and is now sharing in heaven! He will never be forgotten. I will always remember with a smile the day he telephoned me many years ago and said...listen to this...he was broadcasting me on the radio singing How Great Thou Art...and he told me how much he loved it...a very special memory of a very special Christian man. With prayers nd fond memories, Susan Joyce

Debbie, we are so sorry for your loss. My own dad died of colon cancer when I was just 16 and a senior at De Anza high. I remember one year when we all went up to Mount Herman and you and Randy had the next room. One night Kevin and I heard Randy's famous laugh come thru our wall! We both looked at each other and laughed too! He was an awesome man. It was wonderful to see him at Mama's (Anne McCleary-Acree's) funeral. It was 5-9-08 and by then Randy was pale and somewhat weakened. What a wonderful surprse to see him. We had a wonderful visit and I know Mama has already welcomed him and hugged him up in Heaven! Gordon has his singing buddy..A wonderful book that helped me with my grieving is called HEAVEN, by Randy Alcorn. God Bless you Debbie. Love, Bella and Kevin Schimke (Stockton, Calif.)

The world would be heaven on earth if there were more Randy's in this world.
I went to school with Randy at Rancho School and Helms and loved his radio show.

Dear family,
I am very sorry for your loss. I never met Randy, but he was a part of my morning drive everyday. I looked forward to hearing him give me the morning memory verse of the day and comments to the morning's messages. I enjoyed his "sing-a-long Fridays". I feel like he was a special friend. My prayers are with your family during this time of loss. Thank you for sharing him with me over the years.

My sincere sympathy goes out to Juanita, Cheryl, Jody, Colleen, and all of Randy's family. I haven't seen him in many years, but have some great memories of when he and I used to ride our horses from the stables up into Tilden Park. I knew Randy since his birth and still have old home movies of when his family visited ours and celebrated his and my sister's birthdays.

Randy had a twinkle in his eye and a message in his voice. He touched all of us at Lakeridge Athletic Club in such a special way. Everyday I talk to people who have such special memories of Randy, and we share them and smile and laugh. We miss you Randy!

Dear Debbie, Brady & Garrett - I am so grateful to be a part of your friendship circle. I have been blessed over and over again by knowing you all. Randy was a true Christian who walked his talk and he was an example for his boys that not all sons are lucky to have. It's really hard to say "was" about Randy because he doesn't feel gone. That man was as alive as they come and it was a blessing to hear about his travels and such as he fought his disease with SUCH grace. Debbie I know the days/nights will be hard at times but I hope that the legacy left to your sons will live so strongly and openly that you will SEE Randy on a daily basis. I thank God for you all and for Randy who was one of our special angels on earth. Love to you all....Jennifer

Since 1973 I have had the pleasure of being Randy's piano player. His wonderful bass voice and love of God helped me in my walk with Jesus. His talent as a singer and as a Christian was a blessing to all who knew him. Thank you Randy. I look forward to the day when I'm able to play for you again..Gordy Hilty

What an incredible legacy he has left us all.....made possible by our Powerful God, Randy's own faith, his totally devoted wife, 2 adoring sons, and many friends and family members who were so dedicated in the fight. I'm so grateful I got to hear his interview on K-LOVE, and treasure the precious memories of the Forever Family. He was such a faithful inspiration - he will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Sing on, Randy, sing on!
With so very much love,
