Gary Archambault Obituary

Gary E. Archambault
October 26, 1948 - April 26, 2014
Concord CA.
Gary lived in Concord Ca for the past 19 years. Gary also owned a home in Paradise Ca. Where he was hoping to move so he could be with his children and grandchildren.
Gary was a graduate of Clayton Valley High school (1966) and a graduate of Chico State college BA (1973)
Gary suffered from a serious infection that he had been fighting for the past 15 years. The infection was the result of hip replacement surgeries. The last flair up was more than his body could fight. Gary died in Paradise Ca at Paradise Hospice, with his children, grandchildren, father, and sister at his side.
Gary is survived by his father Rene Archambault of Concord Ca., Sister Dianne Archambault of Vacaville Ca., Brother David and his wife Peggy Archambault of Sun Lakes AZ, and Gary's son Jason Archambault and his wife Jennifer of Chico Ca. and their children; Bryce (7), Lucy (5), Owen (3), daughter Jodi Beller and her husband Jim of Magalia Ca. and their children; Alyssa (16), Haley (14).
Gary is also survived by nieces, nephews, and their children, all of them loved uncle Gary dearly.
Gary was preceded in death by mother Lucy Archambault (2012), and ex-wife Patti (2011).
Gary was known by all as generous, loving, and giving of himself. Gary was a voracious reader and he loved to spoil his grandchildren. Gary was also blessed by his many friends in AA. His loving AA friends spoke words of comfort and friendship and love at Gary's service.
Gary was taken from us way too soon. We will think of him and miss him every day. To all of Gary's friends, we dearly say thank you.

I had the awesome pleasure of working with Gary in In-Home Supportive Services. He was an absolute joy to work with, whenever one of us needed any small thing fixed at our desks, he did it and it was great. When I had surgery, he came to see me while I was in the hospital. I'll miss him always, and the Mint Lifesavers he'd give us when he came by the office to visit.

Gary and I go back 50 years. We met at CVHS and spent many hours laughing, joking and practicing music together. We reunited in college where our friendship grew. Gary had such a big heart. He was interesting to talk to. He loved music, movies, long drives and his family. I regret that we lost contact because I'm sure that we would have continued to be good buddies. To Gary's family; I hope that your good memories play over and over in your hearts and bring you comfort.

Gary and I worked together for a number of years and I was his Reno sidekick. He was a sweet man and he talked non-stop about his grandkids. He was often opinionated and was seldom at a loss for words. He was also the most generous man I ever met and you couldn't find anyone with a bigger heart. I will miss you my dear friend and I am so sorry I didn't get to say goodbye before you left. I'm going to miss you.
