Jeanne (Cox) Albertson Wheeler

REYNOLDSBURG: Jeanne (Cox) Albertson Wheeler, age 87, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at her residence. She was born on September 26, 1928 in Coshocton, Ohio to the late Harry and Daisy (McLain) Cox.

Jeanne graduated from Keene High School in 1947. She was employed by Edmont in Coshocton for 28 years and she worked for the Clerk of Courts office in Tarboro, North Carolina for five years.

Jeanne was a member of the Roscoe United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's Club and belonged to the Phi Chi Class. She was also a very noted and talented artist.

On August 15, 1947 she married Verle Albertson who preceded her in death on November 16, 1990. On June 4, 1994 she married Thomas E. Wheeler Sr. who still survives. Jeanne is also survived by her daughter Jody (Rod) Albertson Eveland of Reynoldsburg; one grandson Benton (Elisa) Mowery; two granddaughters Daisyanna (William) Stati- Navarro and Sophia Stati, three step-sons Thomas E. Wheeler Jr., Thomas E. Wheeler III, and Raymond "Dean" Wheeler; six great-grandchildren; one sister Sandra (JR) Layman and one brother-in-law Stanley Underwood.

She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband Verle, three sisters Delma Burt, Florence "Becky" Haas and Nancy Underwood, and three brothers, Harry Benton Cox who was killed in WWII, Robert Cox and Gordon "Cotton" Cox.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 11:00 am at Keene Cemetery with Pastor Dale Sutton officiating. An online memorial can be viewed at www.given-dawsonfuneralhome.com.
