Harold Ross Obituary
Charlotte - Mr. Harold Wayne Ross, 72, of Rock Hill, SC went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 in Charlotte NC.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday, 1-1-2018 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel. The funeral will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, 1-2-2018 at Bethel Baptist Church in Lake Wylie, SC. The burial will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at Forest Hills Cemetery in Rock Hill.
Born in Coshocton, Ohio, Mr. Ross was the son of the late, Harold and Leota Roberts Ross. He was a US Navy Veteran serving in the Vietnam war on Nuclear Submarines and was a member of the VFW. Before retirement he served as President and CEO of several Aviation Transportation Companies.
Mr. Ross was known for the love he had for his family and for his Lord.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Kendig Ross; son, Steven Ross (Tanya) of Lakewood, CA; daughters, Kelly Allen (Jeff) and Erin Franks (Robert) of Rock Hill; nine grandchildren and 1 great grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105-9959. Condolences may be made online at www.greenefuneralhome.net

To the Ross Family,
On behalf of the Charleston Base SUBVETS and Swamp Fox Chapter SUBVETS WWII, I offer you our sincere condolences on Harold's passing. We grieve with you on the loss of your loved one and our shipmate. The SUBVETS will have your family in our thoughts and prayers. There is no expiration date on the back of our dolphins and Harold, who earned his 'fish' when he qualified on USS REDFISH SS-395, will always be remembered as a Brother of the Phin and a great Patriot.
