AGE: 73 • Strathmere
Alfred S. Higginbotham, on September 23, 2012, of Strathmere, formerly of Runnemede.
Age 73. Loving husband of Kay (nee Snyder). Beloved father of Tracey Dilks (Jerry), Laurie Rollo (Marc), and Butch (Diane). Loving grandfather of J.D., Chris, and Jessica Dilks; Emily, Nick, and Sophia Rollo; and Ashley, James, and Mark Higginbotham. Predeceased by his parents Alfred and Mary Higginbotham. Cousin of Josephine Darpino (John). Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Alfred retired after many years with IBEW Local 98 as an electrician. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Strathmere Volunteer Fire Company, Strathmere Improvement Assoc., and was a Cape May County Committeeman. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing Thursday morning from 9 am to 11am at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral Service 11am at the funeral home. Entombment New St. Mary's Mausoleum, Bellmawr. The family requests donations be made in Alfred's memory to the Marine Mammal Stranding Center, 3625 Atlantic Brigantine Blvd., Brigantine, NJ08203. Kay, Tracy, Laurie, and Butch. We are very sorry to hear about Higgy, in fact I am shocked. I had no idea he had problems but odd as it seems, I had sort of a premonition that morning when I woke up thinking about Higg and Kay and wondering at a time, other than Christmas, how they were doing. And shocked to hear what happened. Our condolences and the best to your whole family.

Aunt Kay, Tracey, Laurie and Butch, I am deeply saddened at the loss of Uncle Higgy. I have so many fond memories of our Runnemede times. Too many to list. He will be missed. I wish I could be there but know I''m there in spirit.

Butch and Family- So sorry to hear about big Al,you know he will be missed by many.He was a great electrician,union man,an example to follow of what a hard worker is,and most of all just a great guy to be around,I was a lucky guy to get the chance to work with him and know him,your all in my thoughts and prayers,R.I.P.
