Dominick Vittese Obituary
Dominick Vittese, died peacefully on Monday, July 9th, 2012. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 26, 1913. He was a successful Business Entrepreneur. Dominick's various businesses included Hotels, Restaurants and distributions in the coal, oil and building supply industry. Dom's real passion was always his family and thoroughbred racing. He was the owner of Idyll Acres Farm in Moorestown, NJ whose horse won countless races countrywide spanning over a half century. He was a member and volunteer of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, as well as a generous supporter of Catholic Charities, especially as a fund raiser for the Cathedral in Camden, NJ. He proudly served on the broad of Directors of United Jersey Bank for over twenty years.
Dominick is preceeded in death by his wife Dorothy (nee Trostel) Vittese and grandchildren Eric Mattia and Michael Battaglini. He is survived by his three daughters Rita Battaglini, Donna Irwin and Lisa Clark. Grandfather of Stephen Battaglini, Cynthie Battaglini, Dina VanDyken, Victoria Bolger and Daniel Clark. Great grandfather of 6.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing and visitation with the family Thursday 9:00-10:00am. at McChesney Funeral Home, 30 West Main Street, Moorestown, NJ. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Main Street, Moorestown, NJ at 10:30am on Thursday. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Moorestown, NJ. In lieu of Flowers Memorial Donations to Hearts of Camden, 1840 Broadway, Camden, NJ 08104

my sincere sympathy. I remember Mr Vittese fondly . I worked for him at Bell Supply in the 1970 and had my wedding at Rickshaw . And Lisa trained me on horse back riding - my favorite horse was 2by4.

My mom, Irene King, had the pleasure of working many years for Mr. Vittese when he owned the Rickshaw Inn. He was so good to her & we all shared many great memories of that wonderful hotel. There were Easter egg hunts out by the pool, BBQ's, parties, lots of celebrities in & out & he always let families of employees share in these wonderful events. I even remember his room when he stayed over...called the Esettiv Suite...his name spelled backwards. He was a special man. My condolences for your loss. Denise King Cogill

I worked for your dad when he owned the Rickshaw Inn. What a great man to know and work for. I was just out of high school and it was my first job in the finance department. He lived a long wonderful life. My deepest sympathy.
