We just want to express how deepely saddened we are for the passing of Mr. Canal. We had the pleasure of knowing him in Ocean City, NJ, where he spent his time, talking to us from his upper decks as we were across the street at my Mother's/grandmother's house...He allowed us to walk the kids through your beach access...What an amazing man...
God Bless You, during this difficult time.

Being at the viewing last night brought back so many memories. I remember Mr. Canal sitting at the head of the table, his eyes full of pride for his family and adoration for his Annette. "Eat, eat, eat!", he would say. Warm hugs were everywhere last night... just the way he would have wanted it. The Canal women... one more beautiful than the next. And those kids... gorgeous! I bet they were the apple of his eye. The world will be a little quieter for a while, missing him but don't cry because he's gone... smile because you were with him. Rest peacefully, my friend.

Dear Annette, Mario, Paul and grandchildren,
We were so sorry to hear about your great loss. Annette, your picture of Joe is the perfect one! That's exactly how we want to remember him. Although we are sure there were times when he had the weight of the world on his shoulders, he was always "happy go lucky" and smiling. Aunt Vi loved him to pieces and we're sure they're doing the Polka in heaven.
With deepest sympathy and much love,
Pat & Frank (Butch)Lewis

Dearest Annette & Family :

Words cannot express how very sorry we are about the loss of our good friend Joe. We will never forget all the fun we had at the shore and all those dinners at the casinos.
His warmth touched everyone like a ray of sunshine. His beautiful smile and sparkeling blue eyes, were only outdone by his generous heart.
I will never forget the last time we spoke, in his frail voice, he tryed to make me feel better. He said, "Don't worry honey, I'll be back on my feet in no time." When I hung up I cryed.

Every time we look out at the sparkeling blue water in OC, we'll think of his beautiful sparkeling blue eyes. May he rest in peace.

All Our Love, Bobby & Lorraine DeNinno & Family
