Daniel Schell Obituary
AGE: 50 • Marmora
Daniel J. Schell, 50, of Marmora, NJ passed away unexpectedly in North Carolina on Sunday, August 25, 2013. Born in Philadelphia, Pa he was raised in Cherry Hill had lived in Estell Manor before moving to Marmora five years ago. He was a 1981 graduate of Cherry Hill East High School. Dan had worked as a Custom Finish Carpenter for Post Marine in Mays Landing and most recently for Jersey Cape Yachts in Lower Bank, NJ. Dan was a volunteer for Estell Manor Volunteer Fire Co. and West Atlantic County Youth League. He loved the outdoors especially fishing and gardening, he also enjoyed reading, cooking, playing board games with his family and his new hobby dancing.
He was predeceased by his mother: Lenore Schell, brother: Randy W. Schell and father in law: Charles Sweiderk, Jr. Dan was a wonderful husband, father and hero to his children and a friend to everyone he met. Surviving are his wife: Ronnie Town Schell of Marmora, his children: Danielle Williams (Bryan) of NC, Billy and Emily Schell both of Estell Manor. Also surviving are his father and step-mother: William and Sandra Schell of Cedarbrook, brother: Brian Schell (Fran) of Cedarbrook, sister-in-law: Maryellen Schell of Cedarbrook, mother-in-law: Jane Sweiderk of Galloway, step-daughter: Teresa Byrd (Joe) of Estell Manor, brothers-in-law: Church Sweiderk of Port Republic, Doug Sweiderk (Lisa) of Galloway, four granddaughters: Kelsey, Karlie, Sierra, Brooklyn, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday evening from 6pm until 8pm at The Godfrey Funeral Home of Palermo, 644 South Shore Road, Palermo. Calling time on Saturday at Church of the Resurrection of St. Maximillian Kolbe Parish, 200 West Tuckahoe Road, Marmora from 9am until 11am with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 O'clock. Burial will follow in Seaside Cemetery, Palermo, NJ.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Dan's family and friends. Dan helped instill in me the love of fishing and the great outdoors while growing up with him Cherry Hill and he also showed me what true friendship was along the way. I'll miss him dearly and think of him often when I'm fishing.
