AGE: 64 • Sicklerville
SLUSSER, Peter C. Sr. 'Pete', on June 25, 2016, of Sicklerville NJ. Age 64. Beloved husband of Christine M. Slusser (nee Mitchell). Loving father of MacKenzie Leigh Slusser and LCPL Peter C. Slusser, Jr. Dearly loved son of Rita and the late Walter 'Bud' Slusser. Dear brother of Sharon Boyland (Stephen) and Susan Moyer (Marc). Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and his dear Mitchell family. Born and raised in Bloomsburg PA, he was a graduate of Bloomsburg Univ. and received his Master's degree from Rutgers Univ. Pete began his working career teaching and writing policy and procedures for the Dept. of Corrections. He then became a Police Officer for the Camden County Prosecutor's Office where he retired as Sergeant. For over 10 years, he ran the Camden County Police Academy and was Range Master. Most recently, he was honored as the Range was named after him. For over 20 years, he was an adjunct professor of Criminal Justice at Camden County College. An avid hunter, he loved firearms and Penn State Football. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Thursday from 9-12:30pm at the Trinity Presbyterian Church Rt. 70 Cherry Hill NJ where a Funeral Service will be held at 1pm at the church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pete's memory through In Memory Of for the benefit of the Lupus Foundation or the Fallen Officers Fund at www.InMemoryOfMemorial.org"

i just wanted to offer my condolences to the family of Pete Slusser Sr. I was honored to be in his life as an academy recruit and now an Officer. I would not be where i am now today without his guidance. He was an awesome man an i am deeply saddened by his passing. I will always have him in my memory may he rest in peace.

I graduated the Camden County Police Academy in 2007. I still remember how you were so tough on us but still took time to let us know you truly cared and wanted us to strive to be the best. Man! you were built like a brick house! I didn't even know what your face looked like the first day because I was so scared to look at you. You will be greatly missed. The kind of officer that we all hope we can be some day. I pray comfort and blessings over your family in their time of sorrow. May God continue to give them the strength to carry on.

Pete,Chris and children I had the pleasure of working with him and being a member of the High Risk Entry Team. It was always joyous to be around him. When I was ill I know he was praying for me. I now pray for all of you. We worked in Narcotics together. May all of you be forever in my prayers.

To the Slusser Family my thoughts and prayers are with you in this sorrowful time. I went to high school with Peter - a true Gentleman always - I was talking to a friend at the fair a few years ago and Pete and his wife were standing next to me what a wonderful surprise I will always remember.

Pete was a fraternity brother of mine and on behalf of all the brothers of TKE at Bloomsburg were are so deeply saddened by this loss. He was the epitome of a man's man and touched all of our lives in so many ways! There is no greater testimony for a father to have his son follow in his footsteps. The entire family is in our thoughts and prayers at this most difficult of times. Rest in Peace brother, you were truly one of a kind!
