Evansville, Ind.
Margaret W. Buente, 91, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013, at the Evansville Protestant Home. She was born on June 30, 1922, in Evansville, to the late William and Gladys Klamer.
She was a member of St. Johns East UCC and a longtime employee at Sears.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert C. Buente.
Margaret is survived by her son, Chris H. Buente and his wife, Mindy; grandchildren, Wes C. Buente and his wife, Erin, of Indianapolis, and Krystle M. Bassler and her husband, Rob, of Chicago; great-grandchildren, Chase and Will Buente and Lucas Bassler; brother, Eugene Klamer; sister-in-law, Eloise Buente; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013, at St. John's East UCC, 7000 Lincoln Ave, Evansville, IN 47715, officiated by Rev. Ken Townsend, with burial at Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, Newburgh, IN 47630, and on Thursday from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's East UCC and Vista Care Hospice. Condolences may be made online at www.AlexanderNewburghChapel.com.

Margaret was always friendly and helpful to me when I was working as a "teen representative" from Castle High on the teen board. She was what I would call a great example of being a "lady".
